Welcome to the Easton Isshinryu website. We are a member of the Order of Isshinryu Karate Organization. The Order of Isshinryu is one of the oldest continuing karate organizations in the world. Master Toby Cooling opened the first dojo in 1967.  Master Toby Cooling, a 10th degree Black belt, established the Order of Isshinryu organization in 1971 after a promise he made to founder Tatsuo Shimabuku to go back to the states and "teach good Isshinryu and make a happy family".

Sensei Bill Sullivan opened the Easton Dojo in 1992. While Sensei Sullivan is still active, he handed the dojo leadership to Sensei Mike Magill in 2008.

We offer a rich heritage into the traditional teachings of Isshinryu karate, which is a fighting martial arts system developed by Master Tatsuo Shimabuku.
